Les Craquants du Val de Loire
This home-made biscuit-confectionery-chocolate factory is a must for food lovers in Pouilly-sur-Loire, who can enjoy all the great products on sale in the shop or sit back and relax in the tearoom.
A little history! It was in 1997 that Christian Leiser, an artisan baker and confectioner, found an old biscuit recipe... He brought it up to date and produced the famous biscuit under the name "Craquants du Val de Loire". The success of this biscuit was immediate!
In 2002, it won the first "Best Biscuit in France" award at the Salon International du Sucre. To expand the range, Christian Leiser offers a variety of chocolate sweets, including the famous Nougatines de Nevers and the emblematic Pavés de la Route Bleue.
In 2009, Céline Robert took over the family business and won first prize in the Talents Gourmands competition, artisan category.
Since then, she has continued to innovate, creating recipes for sweet and savoury biscuits, confectionery and chocolates, as well as sorbets and ice creams, all using local ingredients!
