Ideas for the weekend
Why not spend a few days
in the Burgundy Loire Valley?
We promise you magical moments, with visits to surprising places and guaranteed relaxation.
So you're coming?
My ideal programme:
Day 1: Relax
Electric bike ride through the vineyards of the Coteaux du Giennois
Lunch in a brasserie in Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire or Pouilly-sur-Loire
Wine tourism escapade: visit to La Tour du Pouilly Fumé
Overnight in a magical place
Day 2: Stroll
Market on sunday in Cosne Cours sur Loire
Bistronomic lunch
Day 1: Decompressing

We start the weekend by stretching our legs in the direction of the Coteaux du Giennois vineyards and their treasures.
25 km with a few downhills (and hills) and some wonderful discoveries (mills, a Templar commandery, a gleaming Gothic facade...).
Lunch in a brasserie
in the town centre of Cosne Cours sur Loire or in Pouilly sur Loire

A visit to La Tour du Pouilly Fumé is a must
After the discovery of the Coteaux du Giennois vineyards, your hair blowing in the wind, head to Pouilly sur Loire, to La Tour du Pouilly Fumé in a charming former winegrower's residence, to find out all about the Pouilly sur Loire and Pouilly Fumé appellations. With its immersive, sensory scenography, Cave aux Arômes© des Pouilly Fumé and guided tasting, the visit is accessible to all, young and old, and puts human contact at the heart of the experience.

Choose a cosy accommodation to make the most of it
It's a tough choice between a cute little tiny-house, a thousand-year-old chateau, saharan tents or a view over the Loire.

Day 2: strolling

The market in Cosne Cours sur Loire
If you're packing your bags, you'll want to bring along some local produce. So it's off in search of the creamiest crottin de chavignol in the alleys. And don't forget the ritual of all the locals: stopping off on a terrace to drink your "petit noir" while looking at the passers-by.
