Animusée-vous : à l'écoute des animaux
Birds, butterflies, snakes, fish, game... Man lives surrounded by animals on a daily basis, even in the city. So there they are, right in front of our eyes and within earshot; we cohabit, in other words we share the same space, sometimes without even noticing - an ecosystem, in short.
On closer inspection, they can also be found swarming around museum collections... If you look closely, they can be found here and there on a wide variety of objects, giving us the opportunity to draw up an inventory à la Prévert: A candlestick, a cello windchest, a cufflink, a baluster vase, a plate, a beard dish, a perfume burner, a pewter dish, an engraving, a painting... Now put your ear to the ground and hear them chirping, whispering, clattering, crackling, screeching, hooting, whistling, growling, bellowing or wailing. Can you recognise them? With all this cacophony, our halls, usually calm and hushed, could become veritable menageries!
There's no doubt about it, you could be in for some surprises, and for once the museum is not just for the eyes!
The discovery of the animals in the collections will then take families outdoors. Accompanied by a nature guide, equipped with binoculars or magnifying glasses, they will try to spot birds, insects and other animals that inhabit the banks of the Loire.
