Day 1: Cycling the Loire and migratory birds

It all begins in Cosne Cours sur Loire, the starting point for a 2-day cycling epic. You leave Burgundy and head north on Eurovelo 6 (known here as the ‘Loire à Vélo’). The route follows the levee that protects the Val and its crops from flooding. A pause for contemplation at Neuvy sur Loire, home to the largest reed bed in Burgundy and a resting place for many migratory birds.

Day 2: Vineyards

The next day, it's a bit of a climb to reach Sancerre and its peak. We cross the Loire again to discover Pouilly sur Loire. An obligatory stop at the Tour du Pouilly Fumé for a tasting of 4 wines. The return journey is a leisurely one along the banks of the Loire to Cosne Cours sur Loire, our starting and finishing point.
